Maintaining High Standards
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care. We learn from inspections by our own directors, from scrutiny by official bodies and from sharing knowledge with others who work with people living with dementia.
Most of all we learn from every comment and suggestion coming from the families and visitors of our residents. All feedback is valuable, because it teaches us how to do things better.
The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. They set national standards of quality and safety and carry out routine inspections to make sure these standards are met.
Tricia O’Leary is the Registered Manager (Head of Home) at Vale House. She is a nurse with a postgraduate certificate in Managing Health and Social Care.
She leads a dedicated team of registered nurses and experienced care assistants, who work on a shift system over each 24-hour period.
Vale House is registered as an independent charity with the Charity Commission No. 299766 and with Companies House and conforms to the standards and procedures required by those two bodies. It is governed by a Board of Directors (unpaid) who are also the Trustees of the charity.
